Brainspotting

Something is keeping you from moving forward.

Pasta trauma is locked in your mind, impacting you mentally and physically – leaving you unable to sleep, driving outbursts of anger and spirals of shame.

Painful memories and negative thoughts make life a constant struggle, leaving you stuck. Those memories flood your brain, overwhelming you and pushing you into an exhausting state of constant alert.

In self-defense, you avoid situations that can trigger this pain, which distances you from family, friends, and other meaningful relationships.

The distressful and disturbing feelings locked in your mind can create a sense of helplessness – placing limitations on your life. Whatever the cause, this stuckness keeps you unable to move through your feelings.

Learn to work through your trauma – with brainspotting.

Brainspotting is a therapeutic modality that grew out of EMDR and is a deeply embodied way to reprocess emotional pain.

This modality places powerful trust in the ability of your body and mind to go where they must go to find healing. This trust and flow are especially helpful when you “don’t know” how you feel, exactly what’s bothering you, or whether this “counts as trauma.”

In staying attuned to the signals of your body as we remain curious, we will discover, experience, and reprocess the pain that longs for healing.

Find a path to move forward.

As Basil Vanderkolk says about trauma, “The body knows the score,” it is also true that your brain knows the way. You can trust it to find your pathway to healing.

Within this modality, I offer a safe space for you. I nudge and follow as I stay attuned to your mind and body’s process. It is a great joy to “get out of the way” of the healing process.

Our work together builds and utilizes a healing relationship. In any modality, relational attunement is vital to my practice with clients. That attunement is centered and intensely utilized within brainspotting.
